Shoe of the Day + Midweek MidCentury: Going Mod

Clarks Herring Ballet Flat

Stock is getting low on these sweet peach ballet flats from Clarks (another can-you-believe-it? shoe find!) pretty much everywhere, and I must have them for spring!!! (I know you all understand that I'm already thinking about my spring/summer wardrobe when it's not even Christmas yet, right?)

I'm envisioning starting to transition my wardrobe into a much more neutral color palate this spring, buying only a few clean, mod-inspired pieces in black, navy, cream/white, and peach, because I feel like my wardrobe is too fussy and has way too much going on. Do you ever feel that way?

This plan is mainly inspired by this incredible jacket I picked up from Leproust Vintage last month:

It's hanging in my coat closet and taunting me each and every time I go in there. I can wait to wear it with a navy or black a-line sheath and these little flats!

  2. ARRRGH! I hate when I see something cute like that coat and then I read "vintage!" Of course you got it from Leproust - how did I miss that one???

  3. OH! And that is so cool that your brother-in-law had designs on teefury. I used to love threadless, but this site is so much better!
