...perpetual vanilla. I woke up last Saturday morning and felt like baking (must have been the chill in the air!), so I made a sour cream coffee cake for breakfast. While measuring the vanilla, I was thinking about how I bought the perpetual vanilla bottle about four years ago, and it's still going! I just top it off with some vodka each time I use it. I really see a difference in the flavor of my baking since I started using it; it gives a deeper, more earthy vanilla flavor.

ReplyDeleteIt's so lovely...you can use rum, too, but I think the vanilla flavor pops more with the vodka. ;)
