I would never personally wear fur (even though I wear leather--an issue very nicely debated a few months ago over at Leproust Vintage), but it's hard not to be tempted by fur when it's worn the way these ladies are styling it up:

I agree with you, unless it's second hand, vintage fur. I don't eat meat but I pull out a hand me down heirloom cropped fur jacket that belonged to an ex boyfriend's grandma in the 20s every once in a while. I only kind of feel bad about it.

I am sort of obsessed with wearing fur and it really bothers me. The only way I have been able to justify it to myself is to purchase and wear only vintage or secondhand fur. Love these images!

I love seeing how these beautiful ladies styled their fur, as well. i don't think I could ever buy fur new in good conscious (and the whole financial thing, too), but vintage is reusing, right?

ReplyDeletei wear a few vintage furs i have in the winter, and always worry a little about it. for some reason i don't fret as much about wearing my leather shoes or bags.. don't know why that is.
