Holiday Giveaway #2: Violet Jelly

For my second holiday giveaway, I decided to offer up something a little different: a jar of our homemade violet jelly.

Made from violets gathered in our yard (that sounds soooo pretentiously Martha, I apologize...it just happens to be true!), this jelly is so delicate and unusual, that I'm sure the winner will love it as much as we do! The flavor is slightly floral, as you'd imagine, but not overwhelmingly so, as it's cut by a crisp citrus undertone. It's also the most lovely shade of pinkish-lavendar. We like to eat it as you would any other jam or jelly (it's especially good on an English muffin or crumpet), but for something different, try it on a water cracker with a schmear of Saint Andre or a nice, hard aged Gruyere.

Here's how to enter:
  • Comment below, sharing your favorite toast topper!
  • Reblog or tweet to get an extra entry!
  • Do both of these things by 11: 59 p.m. on Thursday, December 10.
Good luck, ladies!
